CEO and Founder
Bernice Maldonado is CEO and Founder of WorkLife Apparel, a start-up image consulting and apparel company focused on women’s professional wear. WorkLife Apparel is an on-line ‘catablog’ of curated clothing pieces and practical career style tips. She will soon launch an image consulting service and women’s clothing line, Vero & Provato, with designs that balance style with professionalism and compliment women’s body types.
Prior to starting WorkLife Apparel, she held various roles advising senior management and executives in designing and implementing strategic and change management initiatives in various industries including financial, energy, human resources and non-profit sectors. She has led enterprise-wide organizational initiatives such as Renewable Energy Integration, Communications Planning, Workforce Planning and Employee Engagement, Leadership and Development and Diversity and Inclusion. In the non-profit sector, she had led and advised various community-based organizations around strategies for marketing, communications, reducing operating costs and improving overall performance and service levels.
She is active in several professional and community organizations including MBA Women LA, Association of Image Consultants International (AICI), California Hispanic Corporate Council Leadership Institute (CHCCLI), Los Angeles Community Development Foundation, and Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM).
Bernice holds an MBA from the University of California Irvine and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of California Riverside. Additionally she holds certifications in Human Resources Management, Project Management, Lean Six Sigma and Business Analysis.
