2013 Multicultural Roundtable

The world is getting smaller. As new technologies in social media, transportation, and telecommunications bring us closer together, it’s more critical than ever for organizations to recruit, develop, and retain multicultural leaders who can skillfully navigate both the opportunities and challenges of a more connected world. In addition, corporations have to insure that they have workplaces in which diverse talent can grow and be developed and move up the ladder. Unfortunately, in some organizations, people of color lack the development opportunities, coaching, feedback and stretch assignment needed for them to move. Hence, some become complacent. In this session, you will learn some strategies from leaders that have overcome barriers to move up the ladder.
