As the founder of the National Diversity Council, I would like to welcome you to the first edition of the 2016 California Diversity Council Newsletter. We are very excited about our past accomplishments in 2015 and look forward to a robust agenda in 2016. This March we will be hosting one of our most popular events, the Women in Leadership Symposium, in several cities throughout California. The symposium offers an opportunity for attendees to observe, learn, network and hear different perspectives from a diverse mix of female executives who have made the climb up the corporate ladder.

More job seekers are pursuing a college degree that can enable them to acquire relevant employment opportunities as well as promotions. Veterans notice that they also need a college education or training. A higher education can help them gain top positions within the military, as it is often required to progress beyond the rank of captain.

This means today's workplace is more diverse than ever before; so, learning to embrace differences has become an imperative for organizational success.
