We are very excited about the upcoming year and the events we have planned for our community.Our most popular undertaking, the California Diversity and Leadership Conference, will take place on October 1.
The waiting game. It's something that many have become all too familiar with or even expect. Whether it's watching Loretta Lynch become the first African-American woman to hold the U.S. Attorney General's Office, or the "wow" factor in seeing rainbow hues across the White House following the Supreme Court's same-sex marriage ruling - the wait can often lead to a monumental outcome.
Can We All Just Get Along? This question was asked a lot in the 90's and became a common tag line and is a continuing meme theme in social media. It seems like a reasonable question, but the fact of the matter is, "we can't just get along, if we don't feel that we belong." It's true in all areas of our lives, including the workplace.

The California Diversity Council is hosting the Inaugural Northern California Diversity and Leadership Conference, in an effort to recognize and empower multiculturalism and leadership throughout the state of California. The event will be held October 1, 2015 at the Hyatt Fisherman’s Wharf, San Francisco, CA.
The California Diversity Council hosted two veterans events this summer in an effort to help military veterans transition into the workplace. The first event, Disney’s Heroes Work Here Program - Veteran Recruitment, Engagement & Training was held on July 9, in Burbank, CA. The second event was held on July 14 in partnership with "Working Wardrobes" in Orange County, California.
Technology is all around us. Today's economy is highly driven by the latest and greatest innovations in technology. The want and need for this concept of "latest and greatest" in technology is what drives the markets competitiveness on the global front. Let's face it, most of us could not make it one day without our smartphones or tablets. Tech companies are constantly developing products to appear as the one to beat on the market.
